Funders
Capacitybuilders is a non-departmental public body (NDPB) set up in 2006 to take over the management of the ChangeUp programme and to work with other funders to build capacity of the Voluntary and Community Sector. They exist to create a more effective VCS and do this by improving support for VCS organisations.
ChangeUp is the national capacity building framework for the voluntary and community sector, launched in June 2004, and supported by Home Office investment at national, regional, sub-regional and local levels, with the bulk of investment going through the regions to support sub-regional and local initiatives benefiting organisations on the ground.
